The problem
Spec work is where you get to set the hardest brief for yourself. This one was integration: a CG object on a hand-held plate, with snow, water and low winter sun all telling the eye whether it belongs.
What I did
- 01
Built the can in CG and integrated it into a hand-held plate shot on a frozen shoreline.
- 02
Matched it to the winter light and to the movement of the plate, so the object reads as part of the scene instead of sitting on top of it.
- 03
Framed and paced it as a brand spot rather than a technical demo, because integration only counts if the piece works as advertising.
What it produced
- Self-initiated, made for the reel: the point was whether the integration held under a moving camera.
