Summary
Video editor with 10+ years across the full post chain, from edit and color through sound and motion, who also grew an owned channel past 200k followers. That means every cut is made against a retention curve, not a feeling: I know which three seconds decide whether the rest of the piece is watched.

Experience
Founder & Lead Video Editor · Doxa Media
2023–PresentOwn venture · Ontario, Canada
Digital agency for clients who want to grow on social, raise the quality of their production and get found in search. Hands-on through the whole chain: direction, camera, edit, color and animation.
- Founded and run the agency, serving 30+ distinct clients since 2023, priced per project rather than on retainer, with a core of six returning for repeat work.
- Run every stage of production personally (direction, camera, editing, color and motion graphics), delivering around 20 pieces a month and bringing in up to four freelancers when volume spikes.
- Tripled an accounting firm's Instagram following, from 1,000 to over 3,000, off a single video that reached roughly 200k views on the platform and brought the firm 50+ new clients.
- Delivered 50+ pieces over two years for a single RE/MAX realtor (property tours, listing videos, agent branding and social ads), supporting listings that sold in under two weeks.
- Turn simple pieces around in under 48 hours; larger productions run to weeks, scaled to how much shooting and post the work actually needs.
- Designed and built 20+ client websites alongside the video, SEO structure included, so the content and the page it lands on come from one hand.
- Built the systems the volume depends on: reusable Fusion templates, a consistent color pipeline, and a delivery workflow that gets files out named and encoded per platform. That tooling is what makes 20 pieces a month possible without a studio behind it.

Quality Assurance Lead · Summitt Energy
2020–2024Full-time · Canada
Energy and gas retailer operating across Canada and the United States. Owned the quality assurance function (recorded sales calls, contracts, operational processes and internal reporting) and the team behind it. Left in 2024 to work in video full time.
- Led a team of 5, reviewing 25–30 cases a day across recorded sales calls, contracts, operational processes and reporting.
- Built Excel macro tooling and performance dashboards, turning case-by-case review from a monthly retrospective into live metrics the business could act on the same day.
- Rewrote parts of the inherited QA criteria around contract analysis, heading off escalation on 500+ cases by finding the point where the company held its margin and the customer still left satisfied.
- Trained around 10 people across three departments, not only my own team, cutting new-hire attrition by 20%. Evaluating another team's work meant first understanding it as well as they did.
- Reported findings to other departments and drove 20+ process changes off the back of them.

A channel by migrants for migrants: what a foreigner's life in Canada actually looks like, made by people living it.
- Built the channel to 100k followers on YouTube and 100k on Instagram, organically and with no paid spend.
- Wrote, shot, edited and animated every piece: the full chain, solo.
- Produced 200+ sponsored campaigns to brief, for brands including Rogers, Scotiabank, Canada Post, Fido, Surfshark, Tap Tap Send, Cambly and ELSA Speak. Most renewed, running on as collaborations over several months.
- Top-performing pieces reached roughly 800k views on YouTube and up to 10M on Instagram.
